Almost 60,000 cigarettes have been seized by Revenue Officers in Waterford.
Officers found the cigarettes and 1.45 kilos of pipe tobacco yesterday evening.
They were discovered during a search of a cargo vessel, registered in Panama, which arrived into Belview Port from Spain.

The tobacco products included brands such as ‘L&M’, ‘ASOS’ and ‘NAKHLA’.
They have an estimated retail value of over €35,000.
A Syrian male in his 30's was questioned in relation to the seizure.
Revenue has asked anyone with any information regarding the smuggling, to contact them.
