All surviving Israeli hostages have been handed over by Hamas.

Israel has said the 20 remaining hostages, who were kidnapped by Hamas in October 2023, have been picked up by the Red Cross.

The bodies of 28 others are also due to be returned later today, while Israel is expected to release around 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.

The handover comes as the US President Donald Trump is set to address the Israeli Parliament later.

Speaking on Air Force One, shortly after landing in Tel Aviv, President Trump said he's the only man who was able to 'resonate' with Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

"He's a wartime President. He did a very good job.

"I had some disputes with him and they were quickly settled, I can tell you that.

"But as far as I'm concerned, I think he's done a great job.

"I think he was the right person at this time. You know, it's been this way for centuries - we're not talking about for 10 years or five years.

"It's been this way for centuries, and he did a great job and working with me. He was fantastic".

It's another day of celebrations for people in Israel after the US-backed peace plan was signed in Egypt on Wednesday night, by negotiators representing Israel and Hamas.

President Donald Trump is due to travel onwards to Egypt following his visit to Israel.
