Aoife Beary, one of the survivors of the Berkeley balcony collapse, has been described as loving and brave at her funeral in Dublin.
Six young people died when the fourth-floor balcony gave way in California in June 2015 during her 21st birthday party.
The 27 year-old, who suffered a series of health problems following the incident, died on New Year's Day after a stroke.
Father Kieran Dunne delivered the Homily at Foxrock Church this morning;
"What of her good nature, and how she came over obstacles she never asked for.
"Of how she didn't allow the tragedy of the balcony collapse in Berkeley defined the totality of her life.
"And then her inate courage and bravery which allowed her to continually challenge herself."
