Climate Activists Throw Mashed Potato On Claude Monet Painting

Climate activists in Germany have thrown mashed potatoes at a Claude Monet painting worth almost €112 million.

Four people from the group Last Generation, targeted Les Meules at the Barberini Museum in Potsdam yesterday, in a protest against fossil fuel extraction.

A video shows the activists, wearing orange high-vis vests, throwing the mixture at the painting, before gluing themselves to the wall below it.

They then shouted, "Does it take mashed potato on a painting to make you listen? "This painting is not going to be worth anything if we have to fight over food.

Two 'Just Stop Oil' protesters threw tomato soup over Van Gogh's Sunflowers at the National Gallery in London ten days ago.
