Commemoration Ceremonies Held Across The World to Mark the End of World War One

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar will join other world leaders in Paris today to mark the centenary of the end of World War One.

Meanwhile, President elect Michael D Higgins will attend a State Commemoration Ceremony at Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin this morning.

Tanaiste Simon Coveney says it is a hugely significant day across Europe, remembering the enormity of loss of life on the 100th anniversary of the ending of the first World War.

The Foreign Affairs Minister will represent the Irish Government at the Belfast Commemoration.

While the Enterprise Minister Heather Humphries will be in Enniskillen in County Fermanagh, scene of one of the worst atrocities of the troubles in 1987.
