The death mask of Daniel O'Connell is going on display in Derrynane house in Co. Kerry today.
The countess of Dunraven will present the mask to the Office of Public works at O'Connell's family home.
Maurice Buckley from the Office of Public works says the piece, which was made 171 years ago, is in excellent condition.
