During his final hours in office, Donald Trump's given pardons to rapper Lil Wayne, his former aide Steve Bannon, and other allies.

In total, more than 140 people have benefited from sentences being scrapped or reduced.

However, Joe Exotic who was expecting a pardon has been left off the list, despite his team organising a limo to pick him up.

The star of the Netflix documentary had been hoping to be released from his 22-year sentence for playing a part in a murder-for-hire plot.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden has arrived in Washington DC as he prepares to be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States.

He will be inaugurated this afternoon, replacing Donald Trump.

The outgoing President will not attend the ceremony, and in his farewell address claimed his administration did what they came to do 'and so much more'.
