€1.1 million worth of drugs and €550,000 in cash has been seized across Meath, Dublin, Louth and Wexford.

They were recovered yesterday evening as part of ongoing investigations into serious and organised crime, involving criminals throughout Dublin and Eastern and North Western regions.

At around 6pm, Gardai intercepted a number of vehicles in the Donore Road and North Road areas of Drogheda, Co Louth.

Two men, aged 50 and 39, and a woman aged 43 were arrested on suspicion of enhancing the ability of an organised crime gang to commit a serious offence.

They're now being questioned at Dublin Garda Stations.

Following a number of follow up searches in Meath, Dublin, Louth and Wexford €550,000 in cash was recovered.

That was seized along with €1.1 million worth of cocaine and illicit prescription drugs.

Three vehicles, six high-value watches, two encrypted communications devices and two signal blocking devices were also seized.
