Donal Conway is to step down as president of the FAI in January.

It comes as the association is due to publish its 2018 accounts, which are expected to reveal its in debt of €55 million.

Hours before the announcement, the FAI has revealed its President Donal Conway will step down on January 25th at its EGM.

The publication of the Association's accounts have been delayed for a second time.

They were initially due yesterday at noon, but were pushed back by 24 hours.

That's been pushed back again until 1'clock this afternoon.

Details of John Delaney's severance package are also expected to be revealed.
