The funeral of Jack de Bromhead takes place in Butlerstown, County Waterford this afternoon.

The 13-year-old son of Grand National winning trainer Henry de Bromhead died at Glenbeigh races in Co Kerry on Saturday.

A horse-riding whip and goggles, a rugby ball and a hunting horn were brought to the alter as symbols of the 13-year-old's life.

Representatives of President Michael D Higgins and the Taoiseach were in attendance.

The family has asked people attending the service to wear bright and light-coloured clothing to celebrate his spirit.
