A woman who died in a fire in County Leitrim yesterday has been named as Deirdre Finn.
She was a member of An Garda Síochána based in Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin.
She died following a fire on a boat at the Marina in Carrick-On-Shannon.
Her body has been moved to Sligo University Hospital Mortuary for a post-mortem.
She was off duty when the tragedy happened.
The head of the Garda Representative Association has described her death as devastating.
Brendan O'Connor said rank and file members are shocked:
"Colleagues of every rank and every corner of the country knew Dee and it was difficult for members who attended the scene yesterday because she was just so well known".
