Inflation In Supermarkets Nearly 5%
Grocery inflation has been measured at almost 5% in the past three months.
Figures from Kantar show that the rate at which prices are increasing has doubled in the past year, from around 2.4% to 4.96%.
The body suggests that there has been a trend among people to change their buying habits due to the high inflation level.
Price growth in supermarkets is well above the levels in the rest of the economy, which, according to the CSO, is at around 2%.
