Ireland Can No Longer Provide Accommodation To All Asylum Seekers

The State can no longer provide accommodation to all asylum seekers.

The Department of Integration say it's down to a severe shortage.

According to a spokesperson, drop-in day services will be available to those without accommodation, with tents and sleeping bags provided where required.

Officials are working to bring more bed spaces into use.

Since January 2022, over 10 thousand bed spaces have been brought into use to accommodate those seeking International Protection.
