Republic of Ireland footballer James McClean is to receive damages from a Belfast councillor who defamed him on a popular radio programme.
The UUP's Chris McGimpsey has also issued an unreserved apology for the unfounded comments against the Stoke City winger on the BBC's Nolan programme last November.
Belfast high court heard that Mr. McGimpsey described Mr McClean as a "super provo".
