"Just Go The Doctor" 27 Year Old Cancer Patient Appeals To Young Men On International Men's Day

"You're not going to get anywhere by checking Dr Internet."

That's the advice of 27 year old Eamon Redmond from Dublin, who was given life-changing news earlier this year.

"I had a constant itch on my body for about eight weeks and I knew something was not right."

"I went to my GP and within eight weeks I had a diagnosis of stage four Hodgkin's Lymphoma."

On International Men's Day, Eamon, along with the Irish Cancer Society, is appealing to men to check-in with their GP if they've concerns about cancer.

The charity says men are less likely to seek medical help for early warning signs and also have less knowledge of symptoms.

Core Research's survey also found 4 in 10 men say they've found it harder to look after their health since the pandemic began.
