A teenage girl has died after she was hit by a scrambler bike in Dublin yesterday afternoon.
The girl was walking on the Ratoath Road when she was hit by the bike at around 2.20 on Sunday afternoon.
She was seriously injured and was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where she later passed away.
A man in his late teens and a teenage boy, who were on the scrambler bike, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The man was subsequently arrested and can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
Garda are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
There's also an appeal for road users who were in the area between 2.10 and 2.40 on Sunday afternoon, and have camera or dashcam footage, to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
