A man has died following a crash in Clare.
Shortly before 3 o'clock Gardai were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision on the R352 near the village of Mountshannon.
It's understood the car left the road and hit a ditch.
The driver, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another man in his 60s - who was a passenger in the car - was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
Gardai say the local coroner has been notified and local diversions are in place.
