Man Dies in Wexford Collision
A man has died in a road crash in County Wexford.
The single-car collision happened on the R702 near Curraghgraigue, Enniscorthy, yesterday morning at around 11:30.
The driver, aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road has since reopened following a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the Coroner has been notified.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
In a statement, the force said, "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the R702 near Curraghgraigue, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford yesterday, Monday 18th May 2026.
Gardaí and emergency services responded following report of the collision, involving a car, that occurred at approximately 11.30am.
The male driver of the car (aged in his 20’s) was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His body has been conveyed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford.
The coroner has been notified.
The road was closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and has since reopened.
