A man in his 20s has died in a hit-and-run in Balbriggan in north Dublin.
The man, who was a pedestrian, was hit by a car on Railway Street.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the serious collision shortly after 9 o'clock on Monday night.
Gardaí say the car failed to remain at the scene.
The man in his 20s was treated at the scene by paramedics, however, he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The scene remained sealed off on Tuesday morning with local traffic diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with video or dashcam footage, who was in the area at the time of the crash, to make it available to them.
