Manhunt Ended For Two Murderers Who Were On The Run

A manhunt has ended this afternoon, following the arrest of two escaped prisoners.

Gardaí were notified by the PSNI yesterday about the pair which were last seen in Belfast.

Police in the North confirmed this afternoon the arrests of two absconded convicted murderers.

54-year-old Stephen McParland and 49-year-old Alison McDonagh were last seen on Saturday, at Lanyon Place Train Station, which serves Dublin, Larne Harbour and near Belfast City Airport.

Gardaí had been informed the pair had absconded from temporary release.
