The Department of Education says 11 out of 42 schools built by Western Building Systems won't need any works carried out.
A decision on 13 other schools will be made today.
In an update published on Wednesday evening, the department says 11 schools won't need any interventions - and they'll reopen as normal next week.

But in the case of 13 schools, analysis of structural reports won't be finalised until today.

At Ardgillan Community College, which was closed due to structural issues in phase one of the building, the department says all students will be accommodated in phase two.
Meanwhile, in Tyrrelstown Educate Together, St Luke's National School and Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada in Lucan only the ground floor will stay open.
While initial agreements are in place to accommodate many of the students elsewhere.
In a statement, Western Building Systems said no details of the assessments have been shared with the company - suggesting that schools previously considered 'free from defects' are now requiring remedial works.
The building firm said: "We wish to reiterate once more our recognition of the impact this has had on pupils, parents and teachers at the schools involved.
"While it remains unclear as to why and how we have reached this point, we are not walking away. We honour our contracts. We continue to engage with the Department and remain keen to meet the Minister."
