Fireworks and festivities have been taking place around the world, to celebrate the start of a new year - and a new decade.
Seven displays took place across Dubai while in New York, thousands of people gathered to see the famous glitterball drop in Times Square.
Here at home, 45,000 turned out for spectacular fireworks and laser show over the Custom House in Dublin.
And in Limerick, roughly 20,000 lined banks of the River Shannon to witness the fireworks over King John's Castle.
