163,400 people are receiving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment this week.
This is the lowest figure recorded since the start of the pandemic.
The number of people receiving the PUP has dropped by 29,000 since last week.
Last Monday saw the resumption of indoor dining and the figures show just under 7 thousand people who closed their claim work in the accommodation and food service sector.
More than 8.3 billion euro has now been spent on the PUP since it was launched in March 2020.
Over 2,000 people are availing of the Enhanced Illness Benefit payment this week - which marks an increase of 400 on the week prior.
