People Urged To Choose A Small 'Bubble' To Socialise With Over Coming Weeks

The Acting Chief Medical Officer is urging people to choose a small "bubble" of people to socialise with over the coming weeks.

Health officials say the next ten days are "critical" to stop the spread of Covid 19 - as concerns grow over rising cases in a number of counties.

The National Public Health Emergency Team is meeting this morning to discuss the rising number of Covid cases across the country.

Dublin has been on Level 3 plus for almost a week, while Donegal and Louth now has a 14-day incidence rate of more than 100, according to the latest report from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.

30 of yesterday's 234 cases were in Donegal, and a further two deaths were recorded nationally.
