The language of love it seems is a posh, la-di-da accent according to a new survey for dating site eHarmony.
It says sounding posh like Helena Bonham Carter (Received Pronunciation) is the best way to bag a date, with one in eight people on the site saying they pick their dates purely because of their accent.
The Irish accent came in 7th place on the list of 20 while last was the Cornish twang.
The top three places went to Received Pronunciation, Kiwi and Edinburgh. In the study, 1, 000 people listened to a sentence read in 20 different accents.
The French accent, once considered one of the sexiest in the world, has now slipped to 19th.
The survey also found a fifth of daters are turned off if they don't like their date's voice.
