Gardai are investigating the sudden death of a teenager who became unwell at a Galway debs.
The 19-year-old, from nearby Loughrea, became unwell at a hotel in Ballinasloe in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services transferred the young woman to hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The coroner has been notified and investigations into the sudden death are ongoing.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow
