The President will attend the remaining funerals for the victims of the Creeslough disaster in Co. Donegal.

48 year old James O’Flaherty, who was originally from Australia, will be laid to rest in Derrybeg at 11 am.

The father of one had pulled in to Lafferty’s Filling station on Friday afternoon when the tragedy struck. His son, who was in the car at the time of the blast, survived the incident.

The funeral of Catherine O’Donnell and her son 13-year-old James Monaghan will take place in Creeslough at 2 o'clock this afternoon - the pair were queuing for the Post Office when the blast happened.

Michael D Higgins will also meet the emergency responders over the coming days to thank them for their part in the rescue operation.
