Two men have been arrested as part of Operation Thor
Two men have been arrested as part of Operation Thor following a number of overnight burglaries in Wicklow and Wexford.
Cigarettes, cash and mobile phones were stolen when a filling station in Gorey was burgled along with shops in Redcross, Rathnew and Wicklow Town.
The burglaries happened shortly after 2am.
In a follow up operation Gardai intercepted a car in the Bawnogue area of west Dublin and two men in their 20s were arrested following a foot chase.
Both men are being questioned at Wicklow Garda Station.
A car is being forensically examined by Gardai.
Investigating Gardai were able to recover a large quantity of cigarettes, phones and sim cards from the vehicle.
