Two people have died, and another three taken to hospital, following a crash in Co Monaghan.
The collision happened at 6.45pm this evening on the N54 in Legnakelly, on the Clones to Smithborough Road.
Gardaí have said the bodies of the two people killed remain at the scene.
Three people have been taken to hospital, two of whom are in critical condition.
Emergency services also remain at the scene.
This is the second fatal incident on Irish roads in 24 hours following an earlier crash in Co Tipperary, in which a van driver was killed.
