People who live in Ireland will no longer have to apply for re-entry visas from next month.

The Department of Justice has abolished the scheme for visa required nationals, from the 13th of May.

They'll be able to use their Irish residence permit or GNIB card instead.

Over 40 thousand people will benefit from the change every year.
