Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a house was criminally damaged by fire in Dublin.

The incident happened to a house in Westway View in Blanchardstown at around 11:30 on Saturday morning.

Two people were in the home at the time but managed to escape uninjured.

It's believed four men fled the scene on foot towards the green area, which leads to Sheephill Avenue.

All four were wearing dark clothing with hooded jumpers and tracksuit bottoms.

Anyone who saw anything unusual in the Westway and Corduff areas between 11:15 and 11:45 on Saturday morning, or who may have seen the four men, are asked to come forward.

They can get in touch with Blanchardstown Garda Station.
