A woman in her 90s has been hospitalised after being mugged in Macroom, Co. Cork.
It happened shortly before 3pm yesterday afternoon while she was out walking in the Castlegrounds with another woman in her 60s.
Two men knocked them to the ground and fled the scene after stealing one of their handbags.
The woman in her 90s received minor injuries and was brought to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have any information to contact them.
