A woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a toddler in Cork.
The 2 year old girl died on Friday.
She was found in a critical condition in an apartment at the Elderwood Complex on the Boreenmanna Road just before 5.30am on Friday
She died in hospital later that morning
A murder investigation was launched on Saturday following the results of a post mortem examination.
A woman in her 30s was arrested this morning in connection with the toddler's death.
She is currently detained at Gurranabraher Garda Station
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Elderwood Apartment complex between 4pm on 4th July and 6am Friday 5th July who has not already spoken to Gardaí to come forward.
