A woman in Australia has been found guilty of the murder of three people who died after she served them poisonous mushrooms in a Beef Wellington.
Erin Patterson, invited her estranged-husband's parents, along with two other relatives, for lunch at her home in July 2023 after lying about having cancer.
The 50-year-old was also found guilty of the attempted murder of another man, who survived the poisoning.
Prosecutors alleged Mrs Patterson lied about having cancer and also faked symptoms to imply she'd also become ill from the food.
She had denied the killings, and her lawyers argued the poisoning was an accidental mix-up.
The court also heard that she has served her guests individual pies containing poisonous death cap mushrooms.
The contaminated food was also served on plates that were a different size and shape to the one she had eaten from.
It was alleged this was intentional so that she could easily identify the contaminated meals.
A charge for the attempted murder of her ex-husband was dropped, as he had refused her invitation the day before the lunch took place.
