18 to 20-year-olds can apply for a free interrailing pass across Europe from today.
The EU will award 60,000 passes to young people across its 27 member states.
580 rail passes as well as return flights have been allocated to Ireland, with Irish people born between July 1st, 2001 and December 31st, 2003 eligible to apply.
It's the second time the DiscoverEU initiative has been launched after 70 thousand passes were awarded in 2018.
Usually, the scheme is open to 18-year-olds only, but those aged 19 and 20 have been included this time due to the pandemic halting international travel.
"Young people of all ages have lost out in the last 18 months," says CEO of SpunOut.ie
He wants the scheme to ber extended beyond just those aged 18 to 20.
The scheme will close on Tuesday, October 26th, and can be viewed here.
