Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has said everyone must "get used to VAR" following their equaliser to snatch a draw against Burnley in the Premier League.

Sean Dyche's Burnley took the lead in the 13th minute after a strike from Ashley Barnes and Wolves were chasing the game until they were awarded a penalty in stoppage time - which was converted by Raul Jimenez. The decision was rechecked by VAR - which led to a lot of discontent from the home fans.

"That I don't want to listen to the stadium singing this song. It's not good for the football, the atmosphere that we have," said Nuno Espirito Santo to the BBC. "Then I think about the penalty. But that is what I was thinking."

The Portuguese manager continued saying that it will take patience from everyone involved in football to help the video assistant referee system work, "in this moment, you just don't think about it anymore. Try and wait for the decisions. The referee can see it and analyse it so we have to be supportive. It will take time for everybody, players, managers, fans to get used to VAR. We must get used to it."

Wolves were playing their third game in just a week after drawing with Manchester United on Monday - then a win over Italian side Torino on Thursday night.

"The boys worked very hard. Burnley are a very good team. The way they do things is very good. They created so many problems for us, they scored and created chances," said Espirito Santo. "It is very tough. You want to play, and Wood and Barnes they hold the ball, the midfield support, the crosses. It's a stressful game that requires a lot of physicality from us."

Wolves play again in the second leg of their Europa League play-off on Thursday. They welcome Torino to Molineux, holding a 3-2 lead from the first encounter - with the winner advancing to the group stages of the competition. At times, Wolves looked sluggish against Burnley - Espirito Santo was asked if their hectic schedule was at fault:

"We are very aware of the cycle that we have. We started competing on the 25 July. We have to embrace it and go again on Thursday."
