Manchester City have taken a big step forward towards the Premier League title with a Manchester Derby triumph.

Pep Guardiola's side came out on top against Manchester United, notching a 2-0 win at Old Trafford.

The Manchester Derby result means City go two points clear at the top above Liverpool, with just three games to go.

United started brightly but neither side could make a breakthrough in a combative first-half.

But the game turned on its head after half-time.

Bernardo Silva opened the scoring on 54 minutes. The Portugal international received possession 25 metres out before he made his way into the box and beat David De Gea with a precise finish at his near post.

Top 4

While De Gea couldn't be fully faulted for that first goal, he was more culpable for the second.

City broke forward on 66 minutes with Raheem Sterling and his pass found the on-rushing Leroy Sane.

The German winger lashed in a shot which came off De Gea's legs and into the net.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's United were unable to stage fight-back and the result leaves them three points outside the Top 4.

Meanwhile, fellow Top 4 chasers Arsenal suffered a major setback at Wolves.

The Gunners found themselves 3-0 down at the break after goals from Ruben Neves, Ireland's Matt Doherty and Diego Jota.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos' 80th minute header proved to be just a consolation for Arsenal as they lost 3-1.

They remain fifth, one point behind Chelsea, while Wolves climb to seventh.
