House prices have fallen for the first time in a decade.

Analysis of listed prices on Daft.ie found a 0.3% decrease in prices in the first three months of the year, compared to the last quarter of 2022.

The average house price between January and March was just over €308,000 - up 2.7% on the same time last year, but 17% below the 2007 Celtic Tiger peak.

However, the number of houses coming onto the market has slowed in recent months.

On the 1st of March, only 13,000 residential properties were For Sale, which represents a 30% drop on the same time last year.
