Lost in Music's Play Irish track tonight is God Games by Fintan McKahey.

It's taken from McKahey's new EP of the same name which is out now - this is the second release by Fintan and it ties family legacy, pop culture altogether with the natural world for an alt-pop 6-track feast.

God Games is Fintan McKahey's second release which moves away from the folk roots of his debut EP, Two Lifetimes Late.

As well as being a music producer and performer, McKahey trained as a classical actor at Kinsale’s amphitheatre and collaborates with artists in film, photography and dance, so it's no surprise that a new documentary launches with this EP; Fintan: Genesis of an Artist by filmmaker Stephen Bean.

If you like the sound of God Games, make sure to check out the West Cork man perform live when he brings his full band to a venue near you:

May 10th - Levis’, Ballydehob
May 26th - Hackett’s Bar, Schull
May 31st - The Bru Bar, Cork
June 15th - The Mariner, Bantry
July 28th - DeBarra’s Folk Club, Clonakilty

We are also loving BETA-MAX's 3rd single release, it features MayKay (formally of Fight Like Apes, currently of Le Galaxie). See what you think:

Trevor Courtney is BETA-MAX, he’s from Dublin, and he warned us to keep an eye out for his new album which is scheduled to be released by Christmas. As soon as more details emerge we will be the first to let you know.
