Conor McGregor Withdraws Application For New Evidence In Appeal
Conor McGregor has withdrawn his application to introduce new evidence as part of an appeal against the outcome of his civil rape trial.
Last year, Nikita Hand won a lawsuit against the MMA fighter, whom she accused of raping her in a Dublin hotel in December 2018.
His lawyers previously indicated their intention to call two former neighbours of hers to give a potential alternative explanation as to how she received her injuries.
They also wished to call a pathologist in support of the credibility of their claims, but have now decided not to pursue this aspect of their appeal.
Other grounds of appeal are now being put forward in a hearing which is expected to take up to two days.
