Drivers Warned Of Snow, Ice And Sub-Zero Temperatures

The cold snap looks set to continue into next week.

A status yellow warning for low-temperatures and ice is in place for the entire country until midday today.

Met Éireann warning of hazardous road conditions this morning, with icy stretches and lying snow in places.

A yellow alert for snow and ice remains in effect in Co Donegal until midday on Saturday, with scattered sleet and snow showers forecast to give some accumulations, especially on high ground.

People are also being encouraged to check in on older and vulnerable neighbours as sub-zero temperatures are forecast to continue until the middle of next week.
