Everyone Aged 60 To 64 Can Register For A Vaccine Very Soon

64-year-olds will be able to register for a COVID-19 vaccine from tomorrow morning.

It comes as the rollout of the vaccine is extended to 60-64 year-olds.

Those aged between 65 and 69 have been able to register for a jab since last week.

64-year-olds are now being asked to register for their appointment from tomorrow - followed by 63-year-olds on Saturday, 62-year-olds on Sunday and so on.

Vaccination appointments are then expected to be confirmed over the coming weeks.

Everyone over 60 is expected to be offered the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The news comes as the National Immunisation Advisory Committee meets today to consider how the Johnson & Johnson vaccine should be used in Ireland.

The meeting follows the EMA's advice that there's a possible link between the one-shot jab and rare blood clotting.

However, officials and regulators have insisted the benefits still outweigh the risks.
