The Spice Girls will reunite on stage for the first time in seven years when they open their Spice World reunion tour in Dublin tonight.

The group are to become the first ever girl band to headline Croke Park with 75 thousand fans expected at the gig.

Fans will see four of the original line-up - Mel B, Mel C, Geri and Emma - take to the stage at around 8.15PM with doors open from 6PM.

The group hasn't performed together since the closing ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012.

Trains from Cork and Limerick to Dublin are sold out between 9am and 2PM today with huge a large security operation in place for the show.

People are being reminded not to bring large handbags or backpacks and selfie sticks and umbrellas won't be allowed in.

People on the north side of Dublin could hear the soundcheck last night!
