A man in his 50s has died in a single-vehicle crash in Co. Clare last night.
The victim was the only occupant of the car which is understood to have collided with a wall at Castlefergus in Quin at around 21:15.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem.
Gardaí say the road remains closed this morning, and are appealing for witnesses to contact Ennis Garda Station.
