A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted abduction in north Dublin.
The woman, who is in her 60s, was targeted in Cabra at about 7.30 yesterday morning.
She was approached by a man in the Martin’s Grove/Blackhorse Avenue area who tried to force her into the boot of a car.
However, she managed to escape and flee the scene.
The man arrested is currently being detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
A vehicle of interest has also been detained and is subject to a forensic examination.
Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 6am and 8am yesterday to contact them.
