A man in his 70s has been killed following a Co. Louth Road Crash.
At around 3pm this afternoon, the car he was driving collided with a van on the R178 Carrickmacross Road.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, a boy in his mid teens, was taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the van was taken to Tallaght University Hospital, where his condition is being described as serious.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
