Zoos and heritage sites can reopen to the public while some outdoor sports can resume from today as part of the latest easing of Covid-19 restrictions.

Young people can resume non-contact training in pods of less than 15, and the number of people allowed to attend a funeral has increased to 25.

On Thursday, the Government plans to announce a roadmap for other areas of the economy and society to reopen later in the summer.

Non-essential retail, hairdressers, and mass could reopen next month but it’s still unclear when hospitality will be allowed to reopen and in what form.

Meanwhile, the five-day moving average of Covid-19 cases has increased by 26 percent in the past week.

It's now risen to more than 460, as the National Public Health Emergency Team announced 429 new infections last night, while there was one additional death.

174 people were in hospitals with the disease last night, while 45 are in ICU.
