There will be no replays in the FA Cup next season in order to help ease the pressure on the football schedule.

The season will start later than usual because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and with Euro 2020 scheduled to take place next summer, there will be less time to get through the backlog of fixtures.

The FA has confirmed that all replays will be scrapped in the 2020/21 tournament to help ease the fixture congestion.

The competition will start with the extra preliminary round on September 1st and the final is due to be played on May 15th.

Prize money has also been halved from 2019-20 because of the financial impact of the pandemic.
It has also been announced the Carabao Cup semi-finals will be reduced to a single leg.

The first four rounds of the League Cup are set to be played before the end of September.

The early start to the competition will allow teams also competing in the group stage of the Champions League and the Europa League to participate.

The fifth round and semi-finals are penciled in for January with the final due to take place on February 28th.
